Dear Fellow Rotarians and Friends,

With over 85 active Rotarians, the Rotary Club of Oceanside is proudly a part of a larger family of  1.2 million Rotarians from over 20,000 clubs around the world.  The 2007-2008 Rotary International Theme, “Rotary Shares” is embraced in the everyday life of Oceanside Rotarians.  As stated by Rotary International President Wilfrid J. Wilkinson, “Rotary is about ordinary people who have a love for their fellow human beings, whoever and wherever they may be.”  

With a proud history of over 80 years of Service Above Self, Oceanside Rotarians share their many talents with people in need, both local and internationally.  In 2006-2007, our club hosted an annual Crab Fest which provided meals for over 100 families during the holidays, helped distribute food to the needy elderly, mentored high school students, provided scholarships for local high school and college students along with participating in Rotary District 5340 Rotarians at Work projects.  The 2007-2008 Rotary Year will find Oceanside Rotarians involved in international projects, helping a South American hospital and local projects, hosting a high school ethics seminar along with continuing many ongoing projects. 

Besides sharing its talents with those in need, Oceanside Rotarians enjoy each other’s company and like to have fun.  If you are looking to help others, sharing your time and talents both locally and internationally, and have fun doing while doing it, then come and enjoy our club.  We are always on the lookout for a worthy project and for people willing to participate with us.  We invite you to learn more about our Club and learn how you can get involved.
